Moving in Priddis
A moving company in Priddis, Alberta: what to expect
Here is what our crews have learned working in Priddis so far. Priddis addresses are on gravel range roads with long private driveways - we confirm the driveway can carry a loaded truck, because soft spring ground will bog one down.
Acreage moves often include shops, barns and outbuildings. Tell us what is in them - it changes the truck size, not just the hours.

Moving in Priddis, Alberta: the details that matter
Streets, parking and the truck
Foothills County posts spring road bans from mid-March, and the 2026 list includes Priddis Ridge Road, Plummers Road, Red Fox Lane and the Hawks Nest roads off Priddis Greens Drive. Highway 22X and Highway 22 are paved; nearly everything past the junction is gravel range road.
The homes and buildings here
The hamlet counted 79 residents at its last census, so most Priddis addresses are the surrounding parcels: Priddis Greens adult-living villas along the golf course, the 60 estate lots of Hawk's Landing, and treed acreages on wells and septic. Only the Greens has County-run piped water and sewer.
Who moves in Priddis
Priddis is ten kilometres past Calgary's western limit, and listings describe it as ranch country with heavily wooded parcels. Public data shows two flows: established Calgary households buying an acreage for privacy and horses, and older owners leaving a large parcel for a villa on the golf course.
One tip for your Priddis move
A loaded moving truck can exceed the axle limits on a banned county road, and Foothills County directs haulers to apply through Roadata at 1-877-236-6445 for a permit. If your possession date falls between March and June, confirm whether your range road is on the ban list first.
Planning your move around the Priddis Greens Golf Club and the foothills
Share the pickup and delivery addresses when you request your Priddis quote. The local routes include Highway 22X, Highway 22, 146 Avenue SW, Macleod Trail; the exact entrance and loading space matter as much as the destination.
- Describe the property and each floor being moved. Local housing includes rural acreages, custom homes and hobby farms on large parcels; note stairs, narrow doors and furniture that needs taking apart.
- Confirm the agreed truck parking point at both addresses. Tell us whether loading is from the street, a driveway or a building bay and get any required permission before the move.
- Moving between Priddis and Calgary and Bragg Creek? Include both access arrangements and possession times in the quote request.

Which moving company serves Priddis?
VC Movers does - on dedicated days, at the same published rates as Calgary. Compare us with any Priddis moving company you like, but ask them the same three questions first. What is the truck fee, the minimum and the stair policy - in writing?
What should I tell you about my Priddis address?
The access. Priddis addresses are on gravel range roads with long private driveways - we confirm the driveway can carry a loaded truck, because soft spring ground will bog one down. So mention it on the first call, and then we size the crew for it.
How long does a move in Priddis take?
The housing here is rural acreages, custom homes and hobby farms on large parcels. So once everything is boxed, a two-bedroom usually runs 4-6 hours, while a three-bedroom runs 6-9.
Do I pay for the drive to Priddis?
Not separately. Your drive of 40 minutes from central Calgary sits inside the single truck hour on every quote. So we never bill the drive at the hourly rate in both directions.
Do you move on weekends and evenings in Priddis?
Yes - we run crews 24/7, including evenings and holidays. For a month-end or Saturday date in Priddis, though, book two to three weeks out. Inside 48 hours, phone 587-966-1551 rather than emailing.
