Our local moving services in Calgary are billed by the hour, with nothing added on the invoice. A local move is anything inside Calgary and the surrounding towns. We charge an hourly rate plus one hour of truck time and that is the whole structure. So there is no fuel surcharge, no equipment rental line and no stairs fee bolted on at the end. Moreover, if the job runs shorter than estimated, then you pay only for the time we actually worked.

$230 an hour for large homes, offices and hard deadlines such as an elevator window. Whenever the stairs or the carry make four cheaper overall than three, we say so before you book.

What is your minimum charge?
Two hours of work, plus the one-hour truck fee. Almost every real move exceeds that; still, it means a single-item or small-apartment job never gets padded out.
Is there a fee for stairs or a long carry?
No separate fee. Stairs and long carries take time and you are already paying by the hour. So we factor them into the estimate up front and then the number is honest.
How far ahead should I book?
For a month-end or a Saturday, two to three weeks. Mid-month weekdays, however, we can often book with a few days' notice and we also take same-day jobs whenever a crew is free.
